Xilli ka mid ah xilliyadii uu talinayay Khaliifka Muslimiinta Cumar Ibnu Khaddaab Allaha ka raalli noqdee, ayuu Saxaabiga Camar Bin Caas u magacaabay in uu noqdo hoggaamiyaha dhulka reer Masar, si dadka uu ugu yeero Towxiidka uguna Dhaqo Shareecada Islaamka. Markii Camar Ibnu Caas uu tagay dhulka Masaarida, ayuu la kulmay dhaqan uu aad ula yaaba oo ah; in dadka reer Masar marka uu biyo yareeyo wabiga Niil ay ku tuuraan mid ka mid ah gabdhahooda tan ugu quruxda badan oo inta loo labiso dahab iyo xariirna lagu tixo ka dbino lagu tuuro Webiga Niil, si uu biyo badan u keeno. Hoggaamiye Camar Allaha Ka Raalli Noqdee,  waxaa uu bilaabay in uu joojiyo dhaqanakaas xun, ee ku salaysan shirkiga isagoona ku guuleystay in uu joojiyo. Nasiib wanaag markii uu joojiyay dhaqankaas ayaa wabiga Niil uu bilaabay in uu biyaha yareeyo, illaa markii dambe biyo la'aan baahsan ay dhacday iyo abaaro, taasi waxay keentay in dadka reer Masar ay bilaabaan barakac iyo iney ka soo horjeestaan A...

Dear Diary

Image
As usual today I woke up around 5 am to start my day off early and ensure it is as productive as possible. After some short exercises and stretches I eat my breakfast and help get my kids ready for school. Once they are ready and on their way to school I make the drive down to my office and prepare for my usual morning meetings with my team.  We have morning briefings three days a week in order to ensure that we are all on the same page and working towards goals effectively. As an MP and head of an NGO which provides basic service to the most marginalized sections of society my day to day tasks are anything but easy, however it's the feeling of knowing I am making a positive change for others that keeps me driven to work hard each day.  After the routine morning briefings I am off to the parliament for regular sessions, on my way there I read through a new law, which is being tabled and make calls to see what other lawmakers think about the law and if the par...

Social Media

Image
My preferred choice of social media has for the most part always been Facebook. The reason for this has been mainly because it is the preferred social media choice of the majority of the youth in Somalia. Facebook has been a useful tool for me to communicate to my peers and friends and also keep in touch with those who have left the country to study or work abroad. It has also been a great tool to keep updated on the changes my friends are going through in life and the milestones they have reached.  Another essential reason as to why I mainly use Facebook is that it allows me to share my views and feelings on the different challenges that face me as a Somali student. Being a student in Somalia can be tough at times. Many days of school are lost throughout the year due to insecurity in the city and also closures of main roads that lead to the university I study at. Sometimes as a student it feels as if though we don't have voices to let other know how were fe...

Liido Beach It has long coast and legendary places include curuubo( former hotel), national theater and other important places. Mogadishu hosts large population at least  2.5 million as the statistical researchers said in 2016.          Mogadishu was found the century of the world as the some of Somali elders told me, no can not say “ I’m the person who found Mogadishu” because large number of Somali people from Arab  were found Mogadishu together, so there is no team or person who can easily  define the person...

My Childhood Experience

I was born 1997 in Dharkenley district Mogadishu Somalia, while there was a fighting between two militias in the city, since our district was controlling by different identical militias and that was  really horrible. even though the militias took over the hospitals and MCHs  my mother did not get any health care.         In 1999 my family came to Hodan district in Mogadishu Somalia where I started my education and other side in the city there was no peace and stability. Unfortunately when I started my primary school in the  first two years Ethiopian soldiers and Transitional Federal Government (TFG) took over the country, while Islamist groups begun to fight against the government and Ethiopian troops. The artillery gunfire were exchanging between two war rival sides which  caused death, injury, and sleepless faced on me and my childhood friends and their families. Large number of my friends died in  the war between the  ...

The Real Friend Motivates You Every Situation In Your Life

Image
It feels like it has been ages since I last wrote you. How are things going with you? I hope all is well with your family. I just thought I would write to you and let you know about a friend of mine. In 2015 when I began attending Somali National University I met many new people in my year and made some great connections, however one stood out to me from the others and we have been great friends ever since. I met  Mohamed Salaad Ahmed  on the first day I started classes and we realized we had a lot in common.             Mohamed is about the same height as me, has broad shoulders, and is quite an outspoken student just like me. We both always believed that as students we have a role to play in working towards helping in the education reform process in Somalia. We would spend hours drinking tea and discussing different ideas between one another of ways we felt we could play a part in help...
